That is a question many people ask. An E4 Evangelist equips the local body of the Church by fanning the flame of those who have the gift of evangelism. In turn, they can help their local bodies fulfill God’s mandate to reach the lost.
An E4 Evangelist works with local bodies and leadership teams so their corporate witness reveals the evangelistic nature of Jesus, both personally and corporately.
“…to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” Ephesians 4:12
To be effective in ministry today, a combination of prayer and evangelism is not an option!
Jesus wants that none should perish, but that all would be saved! We have been given the privilege to share our faith with those who yet have to receive Him. That is why E4 Evangelists are so necessary. We need their equipping so we are ready to reach the lost! We have so many ideas, programs, and products about evangelism, but maybe we need to focus more on being evangelistic rather than doing evangelism. This is the heart of equipping. It is more of a focus on evangelism “being” rather than evangelism “doing.”
The Church’s modern view of evangelism has to change. This view of “doing” has to be replaced with being. Evangelism once again must become our ethos, the very way we live, and the very air we breathe!
